This evening’s concert features organ music both by Charles-Marie Widor, long-time organist of the gargantuan church of Saint-Sulpice in Paris and one of his most famous pupils, Louis Vierne. Representing a grand moment in the French organ tradition, these works are truly symphonic, and encompass a very wide range of colour and expression.
