In this lecture recital, PhD student Liubov Ulybysheva explores the lost identities of three Jewish composers – Mieczysław Weinberg, Hans Gál and Ernst Toch – who were forced to flee the Nazis. She discusses how they found a new voice in their adopted home lands, presented through music for solo cello.
